Ingredients
• 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder (I prefer the dutch process)
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 3/4 cup unsalted butter
• 1 1/2 cups warm water
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2oz shaved dark chocolate
Chocolate topping:
• 1/2 cup dark chocolate
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
(Optional) 1/2 tsp each: cinnamon, nutmeg vanilla extract
Preparation:
• Mix all of your cake ingredients in a large bowl until well combined
• Place the cake batter in a microwave-safe cake pan and microwave for 5 minutes
• Let your cake cool completely and prepare your chocolate ganache by mixing ingredients in a small bowl or mug, microwave for 30-second intervals stirring until melted
• Bathe your cake in ganache, serve and enjoy!
