This flourless cake, featuring both chocolate and cocoa, is rich, rich, RICH! A thick icing of chocolate ganache glaze takes it over the top.
Depending on how you observe Passover, this cake can make a great addition to your Seder since it contains neither flour nor leavening; and of course, it’s also ideal for those looking to avoid gluten.
Ingredients
• 8 tbsp unsalted butter
• 7oz semisweet chocolate
• 1 cup white sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Chocolate Ganache:
• 5oz dark chocolate
• 2/3 cup heavy cream
Instructions
• Preheat your oven to 350°F
• Melt your butter and chocolate, then mix with the rest of your cake ingredients
• Line a 9inch springform cake pan with butter, then pour in your mix
• Place a shallow water pan in your oven to create a steam bath, then place your cake pan in the oven and bake together for 30 minutes
• Let cool, pour your chocolate ganache, and enjoy!
